Mediation services for families in conflict

Our mediation services can help families who are experiencing conflict. We will work with you to develop a parenting plan, child custody and visitation agreements, and financial planning for divorce. If you are going through a divorce, our collaborative divorce coaching can help you navigate the process.

Parenting plan development

A parenting plan is a document that outlines how parents will share the responsibility of raising their children. It can include information on custody arrangements, visitation schedules, financial support, and more. DivorceLawyers.ca can assist you in developing a parenting plan that meets the needs of your family.

Child custody and visitation agreements

In Ontario, there are two types of child custody: joint custody and sole custody. Joint custody means that both parents have equal rights and responsibilities for their children. Sole custody means that one parent has the primary responsibility for the children. DivorceLawyers.ca can help you develop a child custody agreement that is in the best interests of your children.

Collaborative divorce coaching

Collaborative divorce is an alternative to traditional divorce proceedings. It is a process whereby both parties work together with their lawyers to reach an agreement on all aspects of their divorce, including child custody, financial support, and property division. If you are considering a collaborative divorce, our team at DivorceLawyers.ca can provide guidance and support.

Financial planning for divorce

Divorce can have a significant impact on your finances. DivorceLawyers.ca can assist you in developing a financial plan that takes into account the needs of both parties. We will work with you to determine your assets and liabilities, income and expenses, and tax implications of divorce. Contact us today to learn more about our financial planning services for divorcing couples.

Elder mediation services

Elder mediation is a process that helps older adults resolve disputes and address issues with family members. Our mediators have extensive experience working with seniors, and can provide assistance in conflict resolution through communication and negotiation. We also offer pre-mediation assessments to help families identify the best approach to resolving their situation. In addition, we can provide advisory assistance for more complex matters involving elder law. At DivorceLawyers.ca, our goal is to help families communicate effectively and find workable solutions that everyone is satisfied with. Our team of experienced mediators will ensure that your rights are respected throughout the process. Contact us today to learn more about our elder mediation services.

What Happens After Family Mediation?

Once you have reached an agreement through family mediation, the mediator will prepare a written agreement for both parties to sign. This agreement is typically filed with the court (if necessary) and then becomes legally binding. Once the agreement is signed, both parties are expected to uphold their obligations under the terms of the agreement. If one party violates the terms of the agreement, the other party may take legal action to enforce it.
